Summary GTX38978 reacts with T cells. Recognises >90% thymocytes and 40-45% mesenteric lymph node cells. The antibody immunoprecipitates a 67kDa protein from thymocytes.

This antibody was initially reported as recognising rabbit CD5 (1), but does not bind to rabbit CD5 transfectants. Known rabbit CD5 antibodies also show binding to most B lymphocytes (2), which are not labelled by this clone.
